the sponsorship scandal was pretty bad too.. or was that too long ago to count?

do you not remember that the liberals are also shitty?

if you think about aboriginal rights and treatment of minorities, aside from the peacekeeping successes, the entire political history of canada can be pretty grim. residential schools, forced sterilizations, reserves, forced enfranchisement, land treaties and aboriginal title.. there is definitely some good stuff in there but you are being far too selective if you think harper is the only problem we ever had

My point was not that there are bad things that have happened in the past decade, but that I disapprove of almost all moves made by the Harper government. Its like a 90/10 ratio... which I find alarming and scary. Even the PM's treatment of his own party members is sad.

Interestingly some of Harper's (what I would consider) abuse of the PMO is only possible by the expansion of its power by Pierre Trudeau. Of course every PM in between (including Mulroney) wasn't so controlling and egotistical as Harper.

Its funny how a couple hundred thousand in senator scandals can be enduring national news with a trial, and yet the billions wasted on E-Health in ontario seems to have just drifted away... where the fuck is the jail time? ...Blows my mind.

I'm still a fan of our lesbian premier though lol. She tells off harper on the reg.
