Things I am thankful for...

Every year, I try to keep the tradition of expressing things I am thankful for. I usually like to go around the table when we are at a gathering. Since we have no gathering this year, I decided this would be the best place. Many things on here I am always thankful for. others come up as life goes on.

I am thankful that I do not live in a place that is continually war torn and the fighting goes on forever. I am thankful to see at least some of the cannabis laws have been relaxed in many states and the bad attitude towards it has mostly changed. I am especially thankful to see it become legal this year at the state level where we have resided for many years. I am thankful because I can listen to good music which I have at my fingertips. I am thankful I have a wonderful wife who took me in when I basically had nothing. I am thankful her and I make a good team together. I am thankful we have a good car to drive even though I find it unfortunate it runs on gasoline. I am thankful we are not homeless as many people through out the world are, and I have been before. I am thankful we get to eat on a regular basis as many do not get to. I am thankful Yahooka gave me my own forum this year. I am honored by that as I was when I was a moderator.

Gratitude goes a long way. So many people take things for granted and it usually takes some sort of catastrophe to make them realize just how valuable life is. The Thanksgiving holiday was created in remembrance of the pilgrims who were thankful because they had survived the difficult trip on the Mayflower. Last but not least, I am thankful to still be alive after many close brushes with death in my life. That way I can start threads on here which create strong debates. Good wishes to all.
