Stanley Park is awesome.
If you're downtown then the Art Gallery is really cool and all the kid sell good weed at the gallery front or back (most here) step.

There's the Amsterdam Cafe which is cool you can smoke weed in there and buy weed from HA guys on the 2nd floor. But you don't get any deals, 80 bucks for 8 grams typeo shit but its really good weed. (wtv if you want theres the Pot School and Logger's Social club just down the street but on East Hastings..hehe)

And right next to Amsterdam Cafe there's the BC Marijuana Party HQ, it's a crazy cool headshop with a Vapor Lounge where for 5 bucks you can sit there and smoke maaaad bowls outta a Volcano Vamporizer.

thats all i can think of for now.

oh yeah and American Backpackers is a cheap sweet kick ass lotsa character hostel 10 bucks a night.

BC MJ Party HQ sounds like value.
How hospitable are Canadians; I know what they are like when they visit Oz, I think all Aussies get along with all Canadians imo.
I have relatives in Canada, up towards Alaska. I'll be knocking there one day.

I reckon I'd be up for all of that, I wouldnt have $$'s though, so maybe camping, Salmon, Bears n shit, Whale watching (but can do that here), and the strippers and massage of course. What is a Canadian Rye Whiskey I may have heard of, and your favourite ale?

I live in a cold rainy climate, but that's relative
Summers....and Winters are quite Moderate to Hot here. I'm at 33 deg 52' South, same as Sydney. Some Winters (1 in 2yrs) we get snow, we often get heatwaves in Winter too. How cold would the cold rain festival be?

sounds like reno. although this year has been extremly warm. snow is all melted and you can wear shorts and a t shirt during the day. it'll probably snow again though.
