Hundreds Of Marijuana Plants Found Inside Home - Video - WTAE Pittsburgh

WILKINSBURG, Pa. -- Wilkinsburg police seized more than 200 marijuana plants Saturday after receiving a tip about a grow house.

Officers said they found 220 plants that were between 5 and 6 feet tall inside the home, located in the 500 block of Monview Place.

"We (have) about 100 plants (upstairs)," said Detective Charles Knox, with the Wilkinsburg Police Department. "Down in the basement, in the furnace room and back room, there (are) approximately another 120 to 130 plants growing."

Officers raided the home after receiving a tip that the home was a grow house with an elaborate filtering system and lights.

Police said they have a few suspects in connection to the bust.

The confiscated marijuana will be sent to a crime lab and processed.

as much as it sucks to see such a nice efficient and probably very profitable (cause done right) grow go to waste, but good to see ppl had their shit together and no one's going down.
