Outdoorsy stoners in Raleigh?

I just moved to Raleigh, NC from Florida. I have always been a fan of the outdoors (originally from the beautiful Texas hill country, went to college at a university with a spring fed river running through it!) and would love to meet some other chicks (or dudes who JUST want friends) who get down on some hiking, camping, and other outdoorsy fun!

Ganja is so much more enjoyable out in mother nature

I'd love to organize a stoner trip to one of these awesome undeveloped beach areas

Welcome! I am not from there but I live there one time a LONG time ago. As a matter of fact while you are there....
I remember this place....OK it was a long time ago and I had been drinking but I SWEAR this happened. The guy I was with at the time had lived there before (we lived about an hour outside of Greensborough - Reidsville possibly) and he had been telling me of this offramp that you could drive your car down, and then when you got to the bottom of it, if you put your car in neutral it would roll back up the offramp!! This guy was known for his great tales of exaggeration so I figured BS. On said nigh, we had been drinking (my tolerance was a lot higher when I was younger) and it was late...probly early in the morning actually. I was driving. We came to this offramp and I drove down it, stopped, put the car in neutral and the damned thing started rolling back up the offramp!! I even opened my door and looked out at the ground - we were rolling up the freakin offramp!!

I'll probly regret posting this but I have thought of it on occasion and wondered if anyone else knows of this place?

in canada we call that a magnetic hill

its nothing but false flats. that is, an optical illusion of it actually being downhill when it isn't

ya we have "gravity hill" in my town. the weight of the engine at the front of the car is actually higher on the hill than the rest of the car so you roll backward. like cap said, its an optical illusion

this actually happens in my car alot cause its a manual. so if im coming out of a drivaway that slopes up and then slopes down because of a gutter or sidewalk. my car will actually roll backward up the slope because the heavy front of the car is rolling backward into the gutter.

Well, I thought that was the case but I still can't wrap my mind around it this morning. It looked and felt as if the car was rolling up the hill! So thank you for helping me feel a little less like I'm losing my mind! If you live there (Geeno) maybe you can find out where it is and check it out!!
