I myself lived there for nearly 3 years....
Loved every minute of it.

It's not cheap to move, it's not cheap to stay due to cost of living and the permits themselves which are key.

As a student, my Wife and I had to save up $13 000.

There are many ways to get in, and if you have a NAFTA job it's easier to get it, but not necessarily stay.

Look into it, Canada is a great place to live and Vancouver is special among the cities there imo.

My Wife and I have been there for 6 years, ran into some issues, which is why we traveled in the US from November until now, but are heading back up in the early summer to get the Permanent Resident stuff started and hopefully in a couple years we'll be citizens.

We have family in the Eastern States, who we enjoy being closer to, but before long I'm hoping to get back to British Columbia.

In the mean while Friend, get a passport and visit the place... it's AMAZING!

But gotta' say.... Canada is pretty damned lax dude, you might be surprised how much autonomy the provinces have over enforcement vs federal policy.

And on both counts of immigration and pot friendliness....

Canada is no USA.

Do you know where you're heading in BC, Exy?

BC over all is pretty wet. Winter is sunnier up north though, that's a bonus.

It's in the kootinay (sp?) mountain range on the okanagan lake. Kelowna definitely isn't my favourite part of the area by a long shot, but the school I want to go to is there so what can you do?

(go kayaking when not studying, fuck yeah?)

Both countries have age limitations and only certain job positions that are acceptable for employment... provided you have the funds to buy into their health care systems.

unless their "tests" have laxed in the last few years.
