Here`s a thread showing how to make your own blender hash.

It`s pretty safe and simple.



The hash could be made using the following-

Say 30 grams or more of trim. The better the trim you use the better your hash will end up.




3 different grades of mesh bags to strain the hash out with, shown here in a 20 litre bucket. The red is coarse, the orange medium and the yellow fine. You`ll see these better later.




Ice cubes and cold water. Cold as you like, you can chill it in the fridge, this water came from a cold well.




You`ll also want a blender shown here being used at a later stage.

Now here`s where the fun starts.

Put 30g of finely chopped trim into the blender. Add 6 ice cubes. Fill with ice cold water. The towel you can see beneath the blender in the last pic is to contain any overflow.
The reason for the ice and cold water is to freeze (crystallize if you like) the good bits we want, the cannabinoids, thc, cbd, cbn etc so they can fall through the screens. At regular room type temperatures these are sticky, at slightly above freezing they crystallize.

After about 2 or 3 minutes of blending you should notice a change in colour and foam building up around the top. Treat the foam like gold dust, it is good stuff.

Now you want the bags in series in the bucket. Coarsest first like in the second pic (1st post).

Pour the contents of the blender in. You could do a few more blender`s worth, the pics show 3 blenders full.


Here you can see the blended trim in the first bag.

Now squeeze the contents of the red bag into the orange bag which is still sitting in the bucket.

Some of the foam will end up sticking to the top of the red bag. Use cold water to rinse it into the orange bag as we want to keep it not throw it out with the contents of the red bag.




Discard the contents of the red bag. It should make some decent compost if you so wish.



You can do around 3 red bags worth then it`s time to deal with the orange bag.

Now for the orange bag.





The process is the same as with the red bag except that it will require more shaking and squeezing. The mesh is finer so the contents will not go through as easily.

More cold water can be used to swill out the orange bag to get all the foam through the mesh.

Now the orange bag is done.





Inside it you can see some second grade hash.





This hash was used for cooking! Remember though dosage is critical when eating thc products.





Next- you guessed it- the yellow bag.

Now the yellow bag. The process is basically the same as the other two bags except it is a little harder with the mesh being finer. Shake and squeeze the bubble water into the bucket. Be gentle, don`t split the bag or anything.
More cold water will get the hash into the bottom of the yellow bag.




Now a ball of hash is at the bottom of the yellow bag. To remove as much water as possible take the hash out and use a rolling pin to roll it out. To stop the hash sticking to the rolling pin you can use plastic or gilded paper.
Now we have our 1st grade hash!




But don`t rush away to bowl up just yet... There`s more!

We still have the water left in the bucket. This has lots of lovely hashy goodness in it!



There are a few ways of using this water (some call it bubble water).

In this case the bucket was placed in the freezer. Once frozen it was removed and placed on it`s side so as it melted the drips fall into a container.
The drip takes a while to start....

At first the drips are dark in colour. After about 45 minutes they becomes a lot lighter.

Now this liquid was reduced in a pan slowly on a low heat. It will be an epic task to clean the pan if it burns!

After it thickened it was added to some of the 2nd grade hash to make sticky black hash.


Now the hash is made but there`s one last thing to do....

Cleaning the bags.

This is a rather onerous task. Much of the matter sticking to the bags is not water soluble.

As we can see our enterprising hash maker has decided to have a cup of tea at this point .




To clean the bags isopropyl alcohol was used. Remember that this liquid is extremely flammable. No naked flames otherwise it`s your eyebrows or worse.

A natural bristle brush was used with the rubbing alcohol to clean the bags.



If anyone has an easier method for cleaning bubble bags then please share that knowledge .

Now we`re all cleaned up then it`s time to sample the goodies...

I didn't see any ref. to the mesh opening though.........I have done hash another way.

Using fine, fine powdered primo bud.........I'd put hot water in a 2 litre pepsi bottle and roll it over the fine powder that is encased in either guilding paper or glad wrap.......roll till it binds together.
