N-p-k
I know, these letters are so cryptic.
N = Nitrogen P = Phosphorous K = Potassium (Potash) During veg I have done very well with a generic 20-20-20, which is a good all-round nute... sorta. During flower I want the centre number (the Phosphorous) to be at least double the end numbers. Wow, that's basic, but an easy way to stay out of trouble while learning to grow. Only by watching what the plant does after adding nutes will you be able to fine tune it. To most of us that means fine tuning the clone run LOL A few words of warning. The N-P-K on the packaging can be wrong. Hmmm, maybe saying "most likely wrong" is better. Here's a little post I made some time back... On some nutrients the N-P-K may seem low, like 5-1-1. On others it can be high like 15-30-15. Nutrient values (N-P-K) are expressed as the total percentage of weight as packaged. 15-30-15 then means that 60% of the contents of that bottle (or whatever) you bought is made up of actual nutes. The rest are chellates (break down the nutes for uptake by the roots) and fillers/carriers. Powdered nutrients tend to have higher NPK values than liquid nutrients because they are not already partially diluted with water. Organic Nutes usually have lower N-P-K numbers. But a word to the wise, organic nutes can and will burn your plants if you get to happy with them. What really matters is how strong these nutrients are when diluted with water. For that you need to find the PPM (parts per Million) of the mixture, which is checked by using a EC/TDS meter. There is a manual way but I know it not. I fly more by the seat of my pants I think

organics ftw. I love them, there so easy to use and make the buds oh so tastey. I just finished up a crop comparing a regular 15-35-15 and an organic mix and the organic just blew the regular one away.

Fish emulsion is good for veg and some mixed in with the flowering nutes part way into flower as well. When using just Fish Emulsion you may have to use the odd feed of a flowering nute to balance things out. I used to know a guy who used no nutes other than what he put in the soil too. Nice grows if memory serves.

That taste difference is what keeps me into organics. Really makes it shine don't it?

I've been trying lots of stuff that lots of people say make big buds, but Phosphorous based bat guano has been my favorite so far.
Do it and then you can show us how good... or how not good it turns out to be.

I've been using a soil mix of vermiculite, sphagnum moss, seaweed compost, shellfish compost, and aged cowshit, and feeding lightly 2 times per week with a mix of bottled water, fish emulsion, seaweed extract, and some plant hormone shit... they are absolutely kickin ass... in thier 3rd week from seed, and are just coming with their 5th set of leaves... I'm going to have to go to 12/12 soon
