yea, like I posted before...I'm not a chemist but I had always planned to buy pieces separately and assemble using a buchner funnel......I think this would work......you could probably filter 3-4 grams at a time in solution in this......this guy might even rig one up....ya never know until you ask...

The link the GHIB lists on ebay for the s. acid...they have a lot of stuff cheap...a 7$ buchner funnel? That's suspiciously almost too cheap.....i thought they'd run 50$ or so.....

I just thought this was interesting (and damned convenient) if it didn't work, wouldn't you just need a rubber stopper and a b. funnel to modify it?

a sintered funnel is for recovering liquid (by filtering out solid with the help of some celite). he wants a buchner funnel and vacuum trap for recovering the solid.

can you post a pic. There were a few different brands back in the day. I'm not sure what you have. Basically the way it worked back in the late 70s was you would run pot through it. iT WOULD extract resin from the pot then you would coat good pot with the resin. The resin would be like black or tar looking. You would then smoke the pot in a pipe because it would be to moist to smoke in a joint. I stopped seeing iso 2 pot in the late 70s. You could by a nice machine out of hightimes back then for 300.00 dollars. Also the company that sold you the iso 2 machine would also sell the the can of chemicals along with directions on how to use it.

Mine is visually identical to elrics (well it used to be, I painted it and put a "Honeywell Humidifier" plate on it to disguise it), and I can't find the vac trap (dammit). I'm laying low right now (see my other post ), but I'm following this thread closely! Yeah, the first extraction is a dark green/black oil, and I add white pine resin as a binder (tastes good and is supposed to be medicinal), and use powdered bud to solidify it. You don't need an isomerizer. Just use acetone and extract the cbds from plant material or hemp plants(no need to do this with good bud). Then reflux with HCL at PH 2. I bet malic acid would even work and you can get that food-grade from a brew store. This completes the B-Ring on the CBDs to form thc-6 by adding a Hydrogen atom. Evaporate to solid. Do a couple water washes. and poof.
