im going to quit the ganja for a few days

the habit burns a fat hole in my pocket. daily usage about 4 sessions on average. whenever i try to take a break i always have mini relapses and end up smoking again before the intended date. so obviously any support/ tips would be helpful for this dilemma. yell me anything that you think that would help me in this situation.

Try not to sit around and keep your mind busy. Use candy if it's an oral fixation.

i have a really good friend that has a really bad addiction to some serious stuff. he says all the time "i'm an addict and need to get help" but he only says it because that's what everyone wants him to say. i dont think he really means it or wants to get help. we (all of his friends) know that his addiction is going to kill him but we don't know what else to do. he's so damn stubborn. does anyone have any suggestions? i'm open for anything.

dude if you can make it past the first three days, you're usually good to go. being sober after being high for a year straight is a real trip. being sober after being high for a long time is the next best thing to sex.

maybe an intervention? how severe is his addiction? does it heavily cripple his daily life?

Sometimes it affects my sleep for a couple nights. But there is not real withdrawal... you guys are making it sound like its hard to stop smoking marijuana. The hardest part about it is overcoming the mental habit of doing it. And thats all up to you/in your head.

If you quit for one day only, you feel no anxiety. If you quit for good, you feel anxiety on day 1. It's all in the head.

day 2 muhfuckas
oh yeah i have a story about yesterday, my bro asked me for some, and i told him i didnt have any, but i was able to collect a solid bowl of weed from some kinda old baggies. it was right in my hand, i could smell it, and i couldve smoked it right there, but i didnt, and i gave it to him.

yep canuck, and when your smoking daily for more than a year, that mental habit seems like a mountain to overcome/

yeah spanky i definitely read your post, i was just looking for another opinion.
last night i had sleeping problems, went to be at like 430 but it was no biggie/

yeah today was much smoother, i was a little more irritated, but my brain fog is already gone.

i just remembered this quote from thoreau, itll keep me through the next few days.

"A man is rich in proportion to the number of things he can afford to let alone." almost fits
