Its still hard

ive been addicted to black tar heroin for a number of years ive currently been doing it for a number of months after quiting on three seperate occasions. Now i am getting stuck with two felony counts of Fraud and one of recievng stolen property, I stole the checks to help pay for my addiction and have been worried for a number of months about this and at one in the morning when the marysville tribune is printed i recieved a call making sure i understood i was being indicted for the charges. I am scared you feel me? Its hard to stay clean in a time like this does anyone have advice? Techniques for a better recovery because please understand that i am not clean as of now but I am tryin very hard. Just trying to talk about it lifes a little hard and im just tryin to keep sane and there isnt anyone in my life to talk to about this kind of thing so i look to my yahookan family.......

hmm, well I suggest man up and take the consequences. maybe you will come out a better man. when I say that I mean you will become aware that your actions have consequences.

The Alcoholism and Addictions Help Forums- by SoberRecovery.com

I've gotten alot of help with my alcoholism on this site. It's like a YaHooka, but with support for alkies and addicts instead of lulz. Everyone's cool, and new people come on all the time, posting stuff just like you did in this thread. Dealing with an addiction alone is really hard. It's much better to be able to talk to people who know what you're going through.

Hey OMC, haven't seen you around in a while. Sorry to hear about everything and though I don't have any advice I hope everything works out for you and that I'm sending positive vibes.

Actually choosing recovery is a great start. It's a conscious decision, and you have to have the balls to actually make that commitment to yourself.

Go to NA meetings. Whenever you have an urge, go find a meeting and be with people who are coping with you, I don't know where you live, but there's tons of meetings where I live where you can go practically any time of the day somewhere.. In the group, find a sponsor who you can call at anytime. I wish you luck bro, don't give in if ya don't want to.

omc!!!!!

god man it's been forever. years ago, for a period of a few months, i did crack an awful lot. when i wasn't scoring (which i would do every day) i was thinking about scoring, so i believe that counts as addiction (though not dependency which is far more common with heroin). the only way i got away from it was severing all relations with the crowd i got it through. one night after work i bought a rock and told this old black man at the crack apartment-house that i would come back later and give him a ride. he even said he'd hook me up, but i never went back. i was done lying to my wife about where i was going. i had already sold off all our cds, dvds, video games and consoles, even our computer. i was sick of it and hated myself. i never touched the stuff or saw any of those people again.

anyway i'm sorry to hear about what you're going through. my experiences seem rather light in comparison, but i thought i'd share. work it out man, you've got a good head on your shoulders. please don't hesitate to get in touch with me if you need someone to talk to. my wife is here for you too.

much love

get on suboxone its 4 us junkies that actually want to clean unlike methadone. If you have been addicted for several years subs might not work right away and if you do get on methadone dont go past 60mg and when your there start tappering down it is one of the only ways that the shit can work, Then when you get down to 15-20mgs of DONE switch over to suboxone. You dont want to be a zomebie on methadone for the rest of your life. Shit just pisses me off cuz my girls on it cuz she wants to "quit" i dont buy that shit. Sorry to go off topic
