Getting clean :/

Hey fellow yahooka forumers lol! Since I graduated highschool at 18 Im pretty sure Ive been smokin daily with sporadic breaks of at most a week here and theres up untill now..Im 22 and I smoked a blunt of reggie a day ago. No more smoking for me as I have decided military is my last hope. At 6'3 185 not fat but im sure percentage is up there.. When should I feel confident to take urine test?

a few thing... your not fat! congratulation on deciding the military is a good start to your life. I think a few people here might give you some flack for that but you have to remember this is a MJ board. My brother and 4/6 of my best friends are ex or current military. You get my respect. Is MJ all you have in your system? 5 years ago if that's all you had in your urine for the first time, and you were clean after that I would say you would be ok (if you were honest)... today it is a little different a lot of people are looking to enlist. I would wait 3 weeks and buy a home piss test. if you fail, I would test every week or so till you were clean. Good luck!

Congrats on wanting to do something with yourself! I personally would wait about a month before taking the first test. I can't help more without knowing how much you smoke on a regular. I'm 5'10 160lbs. and I'm pretty active (jog, sports, etc). I smoke (1/8th or so) for around 10 days then I quit to clean out for work. Good luck to ya and let us know how it goes.

Cool, so im gonna wait 3 weeks then take a hoome drug test. Maybe explain my situation to a recruiter, maybe they can help me with my situation. Im positive marijuana is the only thing in my system, so that's good. And yeah I expect the ribbing on my decision on military, being this is the last thing I saw myself doing being as much of a stoner I was.. and still am at heart. But it will always be there for me. Thanks for the help!

Good for you my Father was Army, my brother is Navy, and my friends are either Marines or Air Force. I was pretty close to going into the Coast Guard. I like the idea of protecting our boarders, but not getting involved in over seas conflicts. My recruiter told me the Coast Guard did nothing outside of a few hundred miles of the coast.... well he was full of shit. I was young and naive. The fact he blatantly lied to me really rubbed me the wrong way and I said no thanks.

My cousin did the Army , he also told me recruiters can be downright sheisty, im glad I have somone to talk to about the whole ordeal. Lol youve got your opinion deadhead

I wouldn't worry too much, recruiters usually give you a test before the actual test and if you fail you can come back in a week or two.

Unless you know the recruiter fairly well, I wouldn't bring it up. You might end up on a permanent list. The home tests are a good idea though. Don't bother with the "Teas", they are just over priced vitamins. Nothing can beat the MS/CG "Mass Spectrometer/ Gas Chromatograph. If there is even a question with the EMIT test (like the home test), they will run it through the MS/CG. I have twice pissed hot (30 nanograms) after abstaining for over 60 days. I know everybody's metabolism is different, but I wasn't a Jamaican field hand either.

Good for you on getting your head clear. all i know is that there are two different people in all of us..one has a clear perspective of things and one has an altered perspective..the clear perspective has always worked best for me..just a word of advice...do it for you..not for the army. as for the urine test..i dont know..i had to take one for booze..i drank the day before..it was a surprise test and it came up clean..booze is different though. good luck.
