yeah stulic, i was a little bit hammered so i came off a lot more dickish than i really meant to
what i meant to get across with that is just that everyones just going to vote for their own country, cuz everyone thinks whatever sport they play in their country is the best, so their is really no reason to argue with eachother about it (even tho thats really what i was doing there) and dont bash me for voting for the us it wasn't just cuz i live here and am some flag waving hick, cuz im not, sports just happen to be my thing, american sports at that, im just voting honestly

Yes but when looking at this:
List of countries by population - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia you will realize there is very little correlation between population and medals won.

Everybody with half a brain will realize it's all about the ratio between top sportsmen and the country's population. One link: Australian Institute of Sport - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia pwns all. Quote:

Not if you value quantity over quality.
Whatever. How about this; Who is your favourite sportsperson from a country other than your own? I'll throw Martina Hingis in. She is a very good sport, but highly competetive, she plays the angles, old skool, and is very nice on the eye. |

The first person to come to my mind is Ricky Hatton, a fighter from Manchester, UK. I see him on HBO Boxing After Dark a lot. Hes a pretty cool dude and a awesome fighter.
