least amount of moving parts. the choice seemed obvious
it was expensive to build a bike in norway but i did a pretty good job of it anyway. i am not sure how i'm going to get this back to canada. its way better than the bike i have at home

I didn't realize how good I was until I just watched that video. That's not much of a contest, imo. I didn't see anybody with skills that couldn't be developed in six months with some good workouts and a lot of scraped knees, anyway.

ssd, now can you understand my disdain for fixies (coming from this area)? i said 'trendy' and i meant it.

Damn those videos are sick. Tons of trendy fixie riders up in Vancouver too. I can't hate on em because i can appreciate the skill.
I have a free agent 24" that i ride regularly and a early 90's Rocky Mountain hammer that needs a lot of work. I was thinking of converting it to a single gear with a flywheel and keeping the v-brakes. then i could put a stronger bmx 3-piece crank. |

your disdain is misplaced. you don't hate fixed gear bicycles you hate stupid trendy douchebags. the ones in your area just happen to ride fixed gear bicycles

more appropriately, i have a disdain for the fixie riders in my area. that animosity carried over to ssd when i imagined him on a fixie (riding with the trendy folks in town)
i've learned. i still wanna see one of you's riding backwards or popping a wheelie

i was going to berate you for getting off the subject of fixed-gear, but that's like bond shit right there. talk about the perfect way to escape any place at anytime.
i think i might get one
