If you catch a salmon here right now it will look nigh identical to that, as being the end of January, is right in the middle of their spawning run, and they'll have the hunched backs, which is a pretty unusual occurrence in trout, I don't have experience with Brook, but Cannibal Brown's (google em) tend to develop them over throughout their life, anyhow i digress, salmon and trout are literally just brothers from another mother, plus being accused of catching salmon is hardly an insult to 99% of Anglers, and they're all sweet looking fish.

edit: We have this on some lame tea towel here, tell me they're not similar to spawning chinooks?

ya they look pretty similar, in fact one of our friends thought they were salmon.

you didnt like working at a fishery? im actually strongly considering changing my major to biology with a concentration in marine biology just so i can do something with fish, thus setting me back even further than i already am on time and money.

I don't fish much. Just last Spring I took my paddle boat out and caught about a 10" bass. I threw it back. I don't like to fish. I hate pulling the hook out, and they suffer too much. Besides, it's boring. I like to take my boat out in the middle of the lake and just go swimming. The rules for fishing are: always catch and release, chew tobacco the whole time, and don't fuckin stay near channels crowding up the traffic going to and from lakes.
