![]() GO GO BLACK AND GOLD! 4-2 win for the B's tonight in Montreal. Ryder continued to take it to his former team scoring a goal in back to back games. Game four goes wednesday.

I watched part of the winter classic on states tv and half on Canadian tv. I must say I was SHOCKED to see the difference. Beer , half nude girls, only for men, womanizing shows ect....flip to Can TV and there are commercials about role models, families watching hockey and even shows like "the day the women left" This is the fundamental difference that can't quite be simply explained. But this was just a general observance. GO VAN GO |

Winter classic rematch in the conference finals looks promising, assuming Detroit, Chicago, Vancouver, and Anaheim go through to the semis.
I really like the Hawks team, they have so much skill that is apparently gritty enough for the playoffs (Toews, Sharp, Campbell, Keith, and Havlat has been taking a beating but hasn't missed a step, he used to get injured or simply vanish out there in the playoffs back in his Senators days), and they have a bunch of solid role players (Bolland, Byfuglien, Eager) filling the gaps. These kids could go deep. Of course now that I've posted that they'll probably tank the next three games. |

The Nucks completed the sweep in an awesome game. Burrows scored his second goal with like 10 seconds before the first over time was complete. You missed a good one Sage.
Bruins going for the sweep tonight against the Habs! Habs are rockin' the same lineup as game three as they miss Schneider and a few other players. Lucic is back tonight, I really hope that he and Georges Laraque scrap tonight! GO GO BLACK AND GOLD

Sharks lose again! Down 3-1 going back to San Jose, they really need a win.
As expected the Wings swept the Jackets tonight, although it wasn't an easy task for them.

last night was wild. nj had a lead with less than two minutes left, and lost in regulation! federov also scored for the caps pretty late in the third.
some sick second round matchups. pitts v caps gonna be a beauty - prediction: caps in 7canes v bruins - i'm interested to see how well the hurricanes match up against the bruins - prediction: bruins in 6 nucks v hawks - gonna be great hockey - prediction: hawks in 7 wings v ducks - seem to play each other every year, rivalry? - prediction: wings in 6 |

Caps vs Penguins is a dream matchup for the NHL. Too bad for them it's happening in the 2nd Round and not the conference finals.
People went mad last night. The Caps have a lot of goodwill in this town right now, even more then the year they went to the finals. I don't think hockey's ever been as popular in DC as it has been since Brunce Boudreau took over last year and they started winning. It also helps the Caps that every other local team is downright awful. Still, I think people look nervously at Pittsburgh. The Penguins eliminated us a lot in the 90's. Hopefully it's the series everyone hopes it to be.
