The Cathedral

It`s World Superbikes at Assen this weekend. Woot! I`ve changed my AV to a pic of Noriyuki "nitro" Haga riding through a ball of burning WSBK in honour of the occasion.

Spies the pretender will no doubt put up a strong challenge to the Samurai of Slide.
It will be interesting to see if Leon "pocket rocket" Haslam can continue to be the highest placing Honda.

Bring it on.

Lol yeah you got to compete in motocross as an infant or something to hope to compete nowadays.

I don't currently have a bike but I used to have 600 race reps among various other stuff.
I used to do some trials riding when I was a kid.

In the TT yes , quite often. But there are trees and houses and stuff to crash into.
It is rare someone dies circuit racing nowadays though there have been three or so in the last 2 years.

ZOMG the first race at Assen was so exciting.. my heart was in my mouth for most of the race.
The commentators lost the plot and were screaming incoherently into the mike.

Guintoli's first win in WSB.

Funnily enough I had a pint of Effenbert yesterday.

Wish I was man.

An amazing race at one of the best racetracks in the world (it's nicknamed the Cathedral, hence thread title) , legal weed and loads of crazy drunk Dutchies. What more could a man ask for?

Some year I do intend to go, riding over there would be a blast too.
