Disc Golf
Any other disc golfers out there? I've recently started to play and i'm loving it. I try to get out and play everyday for the exercise. Also, almost everyone who plays blazes it seems.

to get good fast, try playing entire rounds with your putter and every now and then throwing a drive with a different disc until you start to get the hang of really throwing for distance. it's just like regular golf: drive for show, putt for dough. and yeah, there's lots of blazing going on on any disc golf course.

ive actually been playing folf for 5-6 years now. im really really into it. all i use is a driver for all shots, 1 disc one shot, i can drive it 125 yards, which is about as far as they go even for pros. I love it!

any true frolfer does not EVER, under ANY circumstances refer to the game as you did in the title of this thread. It's FROLF. got it? good.
PS- i <3 frolf. the city i grew up in had expansive frolf courses along the bike paths that ran through the entire city. effing awesomeness.

Disc golfing is something Im just getting into as well. The discs are fairly cheap ($8-$20 bucks depending on plastic and durability), there are plenty of courses free to play, and most importantly, its good exercise. I recommend anyone interested pick up a starter pack with some beginner friendly discs (driver, midrange, and putter) and get out to your local course and meet some disc golfers who are always willing to help out.
and yeah don't call it frolf lol.

Lol @ debate over the name of disc golf.
Known around these parts as just discing, frolfing, driscing(drinkin etc) I'm sure theres a few others but w/e...usually its more of a wanna go get high and toss around. |

Yeah I've got a glow aviar that i've been using. Love it. I used to use my Roc almost exclusively, but I threw it in the lake about a week ago. I've actually been finding quite a few discs on the course as of late, I'm up to ten now. I now have a champ sidewinder, champ viking, dx orc, dx sidewinder, storm, stratus, star stingray, dx leopard, typhoon, and the glow aviar. The only driver I can throw halfway decent is the DX sidewinder. If i throw it with a slight hyzer release, it flattens out nicely. I've had a couple of drives about 275' with it. |
