I just went to the boulder running co today and purchased a nice pair of asic running shoes.. it was interesting watching the video they took on the treadmill.. I have some "pronation" in my left foot which is part of the it band problems ive been having..

im very familiar with whats going on with your knee. when i was training for my first marathon my knees were not ready for all the impact and stress. plus i have pronation in one of my feet/legs as well due to breaking my pelvis in high school.
It was 2 months before the race when my IT band just became insanly sore after small amounts of running. went to the phys thereapist for about a month and got pretty much no results. the thing that helped it out the most was not ruiing for about a month and half. ever since that time off it has never flared up again.
