this has been the most depressing season since zednik and bulis were our leading scorers

but i dont understand it we have waaaay more depth and talented players(Price) *NOT counting Gomez of course who needs to go the Wade Redden route and help the Bulldogs ASAP,and unless I see Markov score a fucking goal in the next 5 games i officially give up on him too

the only thing worst then the habs missing the playoffs (not even a great draft pick when your playing .375)

some news network guaranteed that guy boucher will be coaching the habs next year while others are saying that patrick roy will replace pierre gauthier (who lets face it asides from keeping price of over halak, an dumping cammalleris big $ altho not for the best returns he sucks

only worse thing then watching the habs sucks is seeindg the leafs do better.

looks like were going to miss the playoffs and the leafs are close to get in

i still call fror them to miss the playoffs

(the laffs, habs probable will pull a miracle

It has been 58 total games since Gomez found the net. 1 calendar year. A goalie has more goals than him and a player recently surpassed his season total for points in a single game.

$7.5 million with a NTC.

Damn.

But at least Habs fans have his awful play to take their minds off how bad the team is collectively. They lost their best forward because he was embarrassed to play for an Original 6 team with 24 Cups.

sam gagner!

breaking and/or tying oilers franchise records is impressive even in a shit season. most points one period (5), tied with several others. most points one game (8) tied with gretzky and coffey. most consecutive goals contributed too (11), new record.

i hope the oilers get to pick first again though

its kind of surprising how patient you (and other oilers fans i've talked to) are. i mean, how long has it been since the oil didn't finish in the bottom 3 in the league? longest rebuild ever. by the time they are contenders half the guys will be up for UFA contracts and getting the hell out of edmonton.

don't get me wrong, i have respect for patient fans. i dont think it would be pretty if ottawa had like 5 loosing seasons in a row (there would be alot of empty seats at scotiabank place). however, shouldn't you guys be a little concerned about the fact that they have barely made any ground yet?

nah the oilers fucking suck. theres nothing else to say about it. i'm not patient, i don't expect them to ever be a good team as long as the same people own/operate them. its an old boys club with a retard billionaire owner who is juking the city out of mountains of cash for his businesses. its nice to see young players who are playing good who might not get traded away for cash as in the past. the playoff run in 2006 was like pulling the parachute before jumping out of the plane and really was awesome but did no good for the long term. i grew up in the 90s watching great players (jason arnott, doug weight, curtis joseph, etc) get better contracts on teams who could afford them, so this is all par for the course on a terrible organization.

the only reason i cheer for them at all is because they are more or less the only team i follow, being from edmonton. they are also on tv the second most out of any team in edmonton (and theres no fucking way i would cheer for toronto). i like some other teams (boston, colorado, montreal) but i don't have enough time to watch all the games, because i have an actual life. in the past couple years i have been living in europe more than north american anyway, so i don't even have to hear about how bad they are and i don't watch more than a few games each season while i am here. at least this season they are trying.

NHL to announce 2013 Winter Classic at Michigan Stadium

I'm so going to this.

My uncle has Leafs season tickets from his company that he never uses as he lives in Ottawa. So there is a very good chance I'll get to use his priority spot to get tickets. I use his seats a few times a year usually. Haven't got to go this season yet. Living in Ottawa kind of blows.

I doubt it will be that hard to get tickets, seen as how the stadium can hold 100,000+ people. I'm definitely going to look into going to this (go red wings!)

Chris Phillips plays his 1000th game (all with the Sens) and scores 2 goals, including the GWG!!! He usually gets around one goal per season so it was pretty special, and I had the pleasure of being at the game.

And Gomez finally scored a goal, so hooray for him too! Believe it or not they actually announced that Gomez got a goal on the PA as they were showing the out of town scoreboard.

Scott Gomez is on fire. 2 Goals in 5 games. If he keeps this up, he might be good enough for the AHL.

The Sens are on track to make the playoffs! The way the east is shaping up this year, they have a decent shot at going deep!

Although if the Caps can get their act together and take the division they could be very dangerous. and obviously Boston and NYR are huge threats.

Incoming brag post

I went down to Detroit for the Canucks v Wings game last Thursday (was already going to Toronto and my buddy had tickets from his work). I have to say the atmosphere at the Joe Louis is incredible. I would rate it on par with the Leafs Habs game I saw at the Bell Centre last year. Everyone gets loaded and they know their hockey (at least the people who were sitting around me did). Having lots of Vancouver fans in the building definitely helped too.

Ron Wilson gets fired and they learn to play defence overnight.

Hmm.
