Vintage Motorcycle

Can anyone identify the make of this bike? I've been told Norman, Norton, and I compared it with a bunch of Enfields, none look quite the same.

Call those cats on 'American Pickers' and they'll tell you what it is and maybe even buy it too.

According to wikipedia it's a german design, built by russians. Apparently a reliable offroad workhorse, no longer manufactured.

Upon further study, it would seem that it's a BMW.

At least that's the only place I found those reverse levers.

A lot of old bikes had those levers.

It's either a bmw, dneper or ural. No one else makes a flat twin like that.

It does look identical to that last beemer pic you posted but the dnepers and urals are copied from beemers.

I used to have a bmw r80. Fabulous handling bike. Surprisingly.
