Don't really get the drifting thing, kind of cool to watch but I really like the work they put into the car.

afaik theres no rule on how far you have to slide, but the courses are usually designed in such a way that you wont be competitvie(time-wise) unless you drift through the turns. youd have to go really slow to nail some of the sections without letting the back end go around a little.

my buddy and i used to switch off driving to school. it was always way more fun when he was driving because he had an FD rx-7!! he rebuilt the turbos and did all this work to the car. it was a fkn beast! then he sold that car and got an evo, and that thing was a beast too, not much drifiting though with the AWD

I wanna see some trucks get sideways on a drift course..that would be bad ass imo

Drifting is judged, style points count...

I don't get it myself, looks like a waste of rubber.

This gymkhana stuff however is quite interesting.

Most drift courses are figure 8's



Gymkhana is more like a road race.

I guess it's the difference between NASCAR and FIA.
