Olympics 2012

Been watching soccer all day.

Brazil took off 3-0 against Egypt but Egypt has currently brought back 3-2 just now.

Anyone watching? Excited for any events?

Looking forward to football and olympic lifting myself as well as track and field, boxing, basketball, bmx, fencing, taekwondo and of coarse some of the gymnastics

Just realized Rugby is not in the Olympics... dafuq?

"Rugby Sevens could be included in the Olympics at the 2012 games. The International Rugby Board has been officially notified that rugby is one of the five sports being considered for inclusion. The IRB decided that Sevens rugby was the most suitable designated discipline for consideration by the International Olympic Committee. The other sports being considered are squash, golf, karate and roller sports."

So rugby is not an Olympic sport but badminton and table tennis are?

Strong logic by the Olympics

I love the olympics. I like seeing all the less main-stream sports, we can watch Rugby/Tennis/Basketball/Soccer etc anytime we want. When the fuck do you get to watch badminton?

It sucks that alot of the events will be on at like 4am here.

They also had tug of war back in the 1900 Olympics

Only 2 teams, Sweden & France. That was Sweden's first ever gold medal.

Confused as shit right now... Opening ceremonies started at 9pm Brit time/ 4pm East coast 'Merica time. But not televised until 7:30 tonight?

On another forum people are cutting it down pretty bad, supposedly pretty funny ceremony. I guess Mr. Bean shows up ?
