Can't wait for this rematch tomorrow!
Frankie Edgar is hands down my favorite fighter. Should be another great fight, both guys have amazing cardio, energy, skillz. You guys think its an advantage or disadvantage that Edgar fights at the weight he walks around at? & Henderson most likely cut down from 165/170? Plus add in the thin air in Denver. Should be a good battle, Frankie needs his title back. ![]()

i thought it was a boring fight. im not a huge fan of lighter weight classes trying to box eachother out.
not sure i agree with the decision though

its like all these extremely evolved advanced fighers like jones and machida have shown how strong a good defense is, so the entire lightweight game is switchign to this less aggressive style of fighting where you wait out your opponent and strike when the time is exactly right. of course the less weighty guys have always been like that but its taken to an extreme nowadays it seems. i think its a temporary thing for these lightweights as they learn how to do it really well. its like they are all holding back when they fight each other. i dunno, maybe its just me seeing more strategy in the sport than i used to. but i definitly agree, they need to get some more bloodlust in their eyes than they do. but im sure its just a matter of the fighters attempting to be as strategic and defensive as possible so they dont make any stupid moves. the sport is moving more and more towards that one stupid move costing you the fight as opposed to lots of smaller moves. (unless you wait till the last round for the judges to score and we all hate those matches right?) or at least it seems to me. its becoming less chaotic. less risky. i think/hope eventually we will see some really good fighters who take more chances. cuz the heavyweight guys have no other option than to take those kind of chances, they just dont have the same speed and maneuverability. like i dont think you would ever see someone using jon jones exact style in heavyweight fighting for example. its based too much on his movement, dodge abilities, etc. i dont see anybody beating guys like jones and machida at their own game. its gonna take new innovations in the entire way you fight to beat those guys. like machida has a very unique style that you dont see very much. he seems very defensive most of the time but when he busts out the tiger strikes hes taking huge offensive risks and leaving huge holes open if he doesnt connect.

^ Agreed. I thought the fight was somewhat boring. I get that they're being strategic and smart, which is true martial arts.. I guess.
I don't want to watch a Title fight where at the end both fighters are fine & could easily go another 3 rounds or so. Just seems stupid. I want the Title fight to have a clear cut winner. Not have both fighters leave the ring fine and energized. Like .... whats the point ya know?

i thought the entire card was pretty lackluster, the Melvin Cowboy fight was probably the most entertaining.
Jon Bones Jones vs Big Dan Henderson though... That should be an awesome fight. Pulling for Dan.
