yeah man its ssomething i'll never forget doing.

the cold early morning dew, the fogginess, waiting....and just the plain adrenaline rush thinking if youuur going to miss or what...meaning killing the animal as fast as possible.

I have a few friends who just came back from bow hunting and they say the thrill from it trumps hunting with a gun.

Remington 870 shotgun. I was a damn good shot at the range with clay targets and bagged a couple pheasants in SD (My 1st and 2nd time hunting, each time 1 bird). I really should go back.

I've always wondered how my shot is with handguns. Never touched one. Too much bullshit with registration, anti-gun laws. I thought about getting a nightstand nancy and it would be a revolver. I like the taurus one you have pictured. But since I'm a drifter it would be a bitch to deal with keeping it updated. I still haven't updated my DL license for example.

This is the shit I don't get. Why is there a "thrill" from killing an animal? And why would the thrill vary because of what was used to do the killing?

no, the thrill is tracking the animal down for a good couple of hours (some tracking which leads to nothing), seeing the beautiful and quiet scenery, and also the satisfaction that your not going to walmart to buy your dinner.

It's hunting season here now and I'll be going out with my .300 Winchester Mag.
Not because I need that kind of firepower for a Moose or Cariboo, but we're hunting in Grizzly Country and as the saying goes "Anything that moves...can be eaten!-Think like a Grizzly!"
I'll also be carrying my reliable old British 303 in case any whitetail deer come my way. Was going to bring my 5.62 SKS, but hunting with a semi-auto is not really sporting.
