NFL Free Agency

So shit's got pretty hot the last couple of days.
Has youR team signed anyone?

I'm a Dolphins fan and we just got Mike Wallace. Pretty decent. but I'm not happy we let Reggie Bush go.

I'm a niners fan, luke warm about boldin, don't know what to think about dorsey, kinda bummed but understand losing goldson, and who gives a fuck about sopogoauoua...

Those damn seahawks are cleaning up, they are going to be fun to watch again...

/waits for welfleet to come in thread with a 30 paragraph rant about welker, and how the pats are going to win the super bowl because of amendola...

I would have rather had Greg Jennings instead of Mike Wallace. Since his old OC is our head coach now. I heard he's talking with the Pats now. I'm really surprised that Welker wasn't offered more by them. The broncos just got a little scarier.

And fuck yeah, loving the Seahawks lately. They really need a break out star receiver and they will be pretty set for a super bowl run.

I'm not too surprised about welker, he tied J. Graham of New Orleans for highest drop rate last season at over 11%...Plus he was whining pretty loud for the last couple years about his contract...

I think that with Harvin, Tate and Rice the Seahawks will have all they need from the receiving game, they need some insurance for beast mode and a little help on the D-line and they could be the NFC champs this year...

We got Wes Welker and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. I'm pretty stoked. I won't ruin it by saying next year is our year bc Grieves will try to troll me while wearing the jersey of that pube-bearded chump he calls a QB, but anyways I think the Broncos are set. Our year to lose. Also I was jk Grieves so please don't go digging into your gif folder.

Pretty bummed so far. Kruger and Ellerbe being let go I get, less so Ellerbe (especially since he was priority #2 after Flacco). Boldin I don't understand as he was absolutely clutch and a pretty low cap hit. The one I'm most upset about is Pollard as he is an absolute goddamn beast and carried a disgustingly low cap hit and brought a lot to the Ravens. Really hope we do something strange and decide to pick him back up. I'd rather have him than Ed Reed to be honest.

Oh but we did make sure to sign David Reed (lol) and re-sign our longsnapper, oh joy. There's also Chris Canty or whoever but eh. Sad thing is I know better than to doubt our front office and Ozzie in particular, but goddamn a couple of those losses are pretty rough, especially without a clue as to why.

lol. It's not that crazy when you think about it. Ed Reed is a beast, no denying that, but there's also no denying that he doesn't wrap up when he tackles anymore. He just hits and people bounce off and keep going. If Pollard hits you you're either down, knocked out (lol Ridley) or injured. Granted Reed led the league in INT's the past 3 years, but he's starting to become a liability as far as stoppage goes. We've got Webb coming back and Ihedigbo back for a couple years, we could do alright with that combo and Pollard.

Patriots don't over pay for older recievers, period. Thats how welker got there in the first place, was replacing someone older, the Pats are essentially trying to get the exact same deal and situation with boldin.

I'm hoping that the fact that Jennings hasn't signed anywhere he has a good chance of coming back. I really hope we don't sign any FA RB's... we have terrible luck with that. The Lions just got better by getting a RB in to catch those dump passes when johnson is covered, they will be better in the conference this year. The Vikings are going to be better too, they have a better record with Harvin out than in - when he's in, thats less touches for Peterson and they got some good draft picks.

The 49ers are going to continue to be a force for the next couple years. Their roster is just too stacked and they actually have a good coach. Seattle will be the NFC team to beat though and I'm hoping Wilson has his sophomore slump. The Raiders are doing the right thing but I think they need to take it one step further and get rid of Palmer. They need to clean house and not sign any free agents, they need that Packer mentality of drafting talent and developing and avoiding free agency.

wtf ravens? seriously, you win the super bowl and just start dropping players like flys? wtf? i hope flacco is happy with all that money, he won't be getting another ring.

but I do show—thanks to a lot of in-depth interviews with GOP sources—how they plotted to obstruct Obama before he even took office. I show how the stimulus was chock full of stuff they claimed to support until Jan. 20, 2009—not just things like health IT and the smart grid and energy efficiency and scientific research, but the very idea of Keynesian stimulus. Every presidential candidate in 2008 proposed a stimulus package, and Mitt Romney’s was the largest.

Seattle is going to be unbeatable. I'll puke if I have to watch that douchbag Pete Carroll lift Vince's trophy.

Atlanta is going to have a pretty unstoppable offense now with the addition of S.Jackson, although in all those years in the NFC West he never topped 100 yds against SEA...

Happens every year. Ozzie has done an exceptional job for over a decade now at making something out of what seemed like nothing. If you really break it down we didn't lose all that much, and have like 12 draft picks to make up for it. The one we'll miss the most is Pollard. Can't say I agree with all the cuts (Pollard especially) but I have a lot of faith in Ozzie. Flacco's massive paycheck only accounted for a 6.8 million hit to the Cap this year and the real impact on the cap doesn't happen until 3-4 years from now. If you were just referencing it, then my bad, I'm just used to people thinking Flacco took the Ravens broke. He'll get there again, no worries.

Also on the subject we lost Cary Williams today, which is no big thing. Ed Reed is meeting with the Texans, which really could happen, they apparently are willing to pay close to the 6 million he wants.

They can't match Seattle's defense and I'd take Wilson over Ryan in a heartbeat. In fact, I'd take Wilson over anyone other than Rodgers.

Same here...

So the buncos upped their ineptitude today by having to release E. Dumervil and take a cap hit of 4.9 million because the contract that reduced his salary wasn't faxed in time...

I would laugh so hard if SEA trolled the league and signed him to a 1 yr 5 mil contract, then offered to trade him back to Den for a 1st...
