SOUTH TEXAS BIKE TRAILS MISSION, TX

You could ride all day an not see all the land.

Like a roller coaster on a bike and miles of trails.

I've gone a hand full of times.

To think they were going to close it to make the Private Club Shooting range next door bigger.

Makes you wish you didn't have to get tired so you could ride all day, like a kid.

and its open to the general public

There's another Motorbike trail adjacent to the airport,
for years it was the only "track" but it has large steep hills.

Definitely not for kids on bikes.

And far more dangerous because it was meant for motorbikes.

There also places for mudding of course.
and the Edingburg speedway open to the public for competitions.

It's more of a family bike, weekend warrior 'park'.

Cactus Patches, steep canals and the heat are good enough for me.

The trails are marked off easy intermediate and advanced; "champion trail".

In reality, they are old smugglers' trails.

Just exploring the endless 14 mile park is fun.

Yeah, looks like it'd be fun to rip through. What are you riding?

Here is a pic I snapped from my Saturday ride. Ended up riding through some pastureland and had this guy blocking my trail...
