Cool Drifting

Anybody here into drifting? I've finally got my Rx7 running again and there motor can take some abuse now. I'm just wondering what's a good way to get into it.

Any import lovers here?

A car guy/gal awesome!!

Drifting is cool to watch but is be scared to mess my ride up. Plus I couldn't afford to go through so many sets of tires. Done any motor mods? You lowered any? love those down to earth rides.

No mods yet but I want to put a turbo on it and bigger injectors. It's lowered a couple inches but not much since I don't want my tires to rub.

I'm not sure how big a community there is in North Dakota but that's where you start. I'm blessed living in SoCal, there is a huge community surrounding the MX-5/Miata/Roadster. When I bought my first one I had many questions and little money so I jumped online and joined a couple of forums to ask advice and found I was mere minutes away from what is the biggest weekly Miata meet in the U.S. if not the world. Average of about 25 cars a week, many many more if it's an occasion, been meeting at the same spots for over 7 years, which if you happen to know anything about car meets is astoundingly long for a single model. You guys can just Google KINOD for details.

But I digress...

Start with these and you'll find what you're looking for.

As for drifting? I'd rather run time attack, grip is good.

I never have gotten why you Rotards like hooning around with the rear waggling, the faster the better IMO!

I'm a member at the top two forums in those search results. They are amazingly knowledgeable and my car wouldn't be running without their help. There really isn't a drift scene here except my friends and I. Sadly we're limited to deserted back roads and parking lots after everybody goes home. Miatas are support fun to drive. My friend has a 96 that he says he'll get buried with. California is like the western hemispheres auto Mecca. I've never heard rotards before. Ha Ha that's pretty good actually.

coming from a man who grew up with cars, my dad owned a car show, i worked on drag cars and many show cars a few bein top finishers at the detroit auto show. a miata just aint fun for us why spend your money on such a small thing. and im happy your proud but this 32 roadster wins in speed and looks, also got a cuda longest standing car champion. chip foose signed my roadster(great guy can build a car in 3 days with help and fucjk he has good intenyions)

if you have 45000 buy a real show car one you only drive for a show, not some circlejerk of crap cars.

Formula Drift.....

Hows getting sideways at 100mph sound? I'd imagine it would be a hell of a rush
