Hate to recommend alcohol but alcohol. If you have writers block alcohol does the job.

There are many better ways which involve improving motivation but booze is the quick fix.

Many writers die young.

giles is correct but i think you can mimic alcohols effects if you stop trying for perfection and just write, let it flow.

a lot of times if you just take a break, start working on something else, maybe even something non-writing associated like building something or a big cleaning project or whatever, it will allow your brain to stop forcing creativeness

Writers block is something professional writers get. Not students usually.

wiki...
Writer's block is a condition, associated with writing as a profession, in which an author loses the ability to produce new work. The condition varies widely in intensity. It can be trivial, a temporary difficulty in dealing with the task in hand. At the other extreme, some "blocked" writers have been unable to work for years on end, and some have even abandoned their careers.

It seems what you are experiencing is guestioning your career choice.

just write absolute crap. whatever comes to your mind. if your in the middle of a story and can't think of shit to write, just write down anything you think, even if it's terrible. it's easier to go back and look through crap you wrote, and say this is a good idea i can make it better than to try and think up a great idea and not write anything down until it's perfect in your mind.

write about what happened in your day, write what you dreamed about, anything at all, it'll get some juices flowing

No, I'd sit for hours at my desk or in my thinking chair(yes I have one and it is BOMB) or in my bed or on my porch or the park and anywhere else I thought inspiration could come from and it never happened.

I got stoned a few times and wrote so many shitty ideas down that I quit smoking and writing.

That's why I hate being forced to write, I don't like writing shit, and you can't force something good

I find that most of my great ideas come while I am laying in bed, just before I fall asleep - try thinking before you sleep

creative writing is mad easy to pass as long as your turn in something.. anything. just write. only stuff I read 'recreationally' is steven king and bill waterson, gary larson. yah over half of what I read are comics. i wrote some king type scenarios for cw. get inspiration from shit you read. just dont plagiarize.

You can draw inspiration from everything, just let it flow.

I'll vouch for alcohol, one of my buddies is a hardcore 18 year old alcoholic and has volumes upon volumes of incredible short stories memoirs etc.

How about you go out and explore your subject's more closely. Do some research or some exploring. The best way to have a subject to write about, is to have something to write about. It's rare to see rain when there's no water nearby to be evaporated.

Alcohol and other substances may help you look at your thoughts/ideas in a different perspective. After too much use for influence, you've said the same things a million different ways. While the real issue was a lack of real influence causing you to be motivated enough to write/create something.

Art must have purpose, even if it's purpose is to have no other purpose.

Tapping into deprivation of sleep, or sleep are also good ways to alter your conscious state to pull subconscious materials to the mind's eye. Hence dreams and hypnosis.
