untitled "sacred singer-mind"

IMBUED with power primeval,
Houvering in the Void,
A mind wanders all-certain,
Whom after ages Eternity finds
Is hemming close his voice with the Ether.

As soft froth swells beneath,
His hum a torrent awakes
Which guides the hum-song to then fro,
And soon is steadied by his melody
Into a gurgling spring.

"Now substance has this Ether-Void,
and I a step-pool to work.
Created from the Void by my song,
To whom I and the Ether
This spring its place dually owes."

Thus spoke the sacred singer-mind,
Primordial beginner of works,
Of whose labor this same spring
Soon bore the vast Earda-sea.

"Ether, my abundant mother,
And Void, my eternal father,
Behold Earda, my beloved daughter
For whom my work is spent
And my labor well-founded."

This speech Void heard with anger,
That his son would sever so
The ancient bond of Ether-Void
And himself a child beget.

"For ever and ever now, the Ether,
Thy own abundant mother,
Has bore only thou by my own work.
Why sever now the bond which I afford thee
And sire thyself a child of the mother-Ether?"

"Ere ever thy work began, eternal father-Void,
Work some being made of thou.
Eternity I sought and Eternity I passed,
Houvering with the mother-Ether
Where once thou wandered too.

For whosoever Eternity in the Ether finds
Must one day be mother-severed,
And soon thereafter his work begin
To fall not into friutless stasis
As thou didst long ago."
