slip up,
trip my mind away.
control my thoughts,
and hope that i can find a way
to keep moving forward
and not get bogged down.
to lift my heavy head
when im heading for the ground.

slip up,
trip my mind away
keep tight to my heart
and know that love will find a way
to keep me moving forward
to keep me from being down
to guide me through the bullshit
because i know its pouring down.

i slipped up,
think i tripped my mind away.
i think i cashed my ego in just to find a way;
because love never showed me
a path before my feet
and hope has never stuck around
long enough for me
to keep moving forward
and now im slowing down
pain in every step thats traced
as i wear my ego down.

Thats funny cuz earlier today I was writing down a stanza for a poem called "Lost the Plot again", and it's pretty similar. Like the flow on yours though.

I'm glad to see more of the writing man, keep it up!

thanks for the kindness. ive been writing more in a seemingly futile attempt to find some relief from the way i feel, and to stop dwelling on alot of the negativity that i feel like i live submerged in. writing and making music have been helping alot though.

If you don't share it, it stays with-in you. Any kind of real knowledge or wisdom I find is too much of a burden for one person.

I look at poetry as if every poet is a beacon floating in the ocean. Trying to show some light for those sailing in the confusion of the night.

Done for the love to guide the lost but listening sheep. Whether it's through the comfort of being relate-able, or to magnify the importance of a solution or choice.

We are all guardians for something, whether we step up to the plate or not.
