Another Way

Dunking your hands in blood,
won't cover up your pain.
When everything must be broken,
you have to allow change.

Pouring blood on your hands,
won't take away your pain.
Nothing is forbidden,
but there are other ways.

Can't we sing instead?
Count all of our blessings,
and drop to our knees.

Count all of our blessings,
and drop to our knees.

Outside, Stay Alive:

Working through winter,
my candle lit, miles away.
The flame still bright,
through the blankness of night.

I ask her,
Do you like winter,
and this hill-top sight?
And the ice cracks,
through predictable mystery.

I keep mine open,
and hers closed,
As we slide towards the silence,
of our own homes.

The light was too bright.

Create Fire Another Way

Create fire another way,
these men used to rub sticks together,
for something you would rather blow away.

The snap of a finger,
and a flame does begin.
Down the throat,
of an aspiring singer,
to escape their sin.

Create fire another way,
we used to dream of peace,
and being given another day.

These children are snapping their fingers,
and receiving joy from pain.
Their harm still lingers,
as the ashes do stain.

Let's create fire another day.

Hahahahha, I like this one. Reading into it makes me wonder what the hell level is my mind on when I have no idea what I'm typing.

This might be my best poem yet.

The thing I liked about it was it's a play on a few topics, but it's really simple and kinda stupid. It explains how hard it used to be to even make fire(rubbing sticks together with tinder), but now we can just snap our fingers(lighter) and have a flame. And with all of this technology and great discoveries we've made, for the past century have been gathering enough fire-power to annihilate all that we have done(the need to "create fire another way").

There's a few other things in there, but it's open for interpretation as always . Thanks for reading and commenting as always PG, your my biggest fan

Lot's of changes going on in our world though, lot's and lot's of them, let's make the best of what we are given as always!

(the need to "create fire another way").
If one had to make fire and had virtually nothing....I'd be inclined to find some iron pyrite
and that mushroom that grows on the sides of trees......(grind it up).....find some dry moss which is everywhere.....strik e the 2 pieces of pyrite together and the sparks will lite the ground up shroom. Then put that on the moss and VOILA!

Fire....the 'ole 'ole fashioned way.
