Your dad needs to realize your your own person not just his son. Yes, this process will hurt him and you but that's just how it goes. You may just have to enter a difficult place so that in the end balance can restore itself.

You just need to do what's right for you, regardless of guilt, society, or perceived obligations. What follows from that you can only leave to the universe to sort out. Because in the end, the only real control we have is over our own actions.

For real Rev, didn't fully happen to me till my dad left me and my mom and moved all of his shit out. No warning or anything, i've never been the same since i found out he did that because up until then, i'd never experienced people hurting each other so badly on purpose.
Made me lose a little too much faith in relationships.
