A Moment in Life

This poem I wrote based on an experience from my life. I think it would be very interesting to hear the thoughts of you who read this poem. As you read please jot down your thoughts. And after reading post your analysis of this poem. After some time I will post what this writing meant to me. I think it will be interesting to see the similarities/differences between each readers experience with this writing and my own as I wrote it. I hope you enjoy.

Launch in a metal beast
we head where the sun
ends it feast
The solid ground at our feet
our souls--our heart does not miss a beat
in the morning the stone
shows its eye,
we talk of times, we laugh , we cry
the time is sweet
yet it is short
but not a word do we retort
a light enflames, we gather round
our souls are one
our soles are found
where we are bound we do not know
our stories are not written
nor are they told

taking communion with the womb of the sacred pipe, heading high we fly towards the sun, full of fun, we know not where we go or whence we came but we fear not the unknown, like that bone to the dog was thrown! hash to ashes, dust to dust!
