Writing dialogue
I don't know how many of you guys write stories and the like, but does anyone have any tips on writing dialogue?
I'm trying to write a script with a friend, and the story is coming along fine, but we just can't write good dialogue to save our lives.

try reading what you have out loud and deciding how stupid/fake it sounds. might help if you have friends read it while you listen carefully. if this is your only problem you don't have a lot to worry about.
i don't write dialogue so take this advice with salt

Also, write what you know.
Base your characters off the mannerisms of people you know and/or how they'd react to a given situation.
